MANANNAN'S CHARMS
Manannan’s Charms is a web app that combines elements of the rich vein of Manx folklore and history with a series of tasks and challenges to get involved with the environment around you. Think Manx Folklore meets Pottermore meets Greta Thunberg.
The aim of the app is to create something that connects people to the Isle of Man’s folklore and to the environment around us, as well as with the island’s history and culture. It is designed to show that we are all part of the environment and landscape around us and we can all play our part in helping to protect it.

Incorporating the stories of Manannan, the Isle of Man's ancient protector, with the image of us ourselves as protectors of the Isle of Man is a powerful and enticing story for young people and adults alike. Storytelling is how we share our history - it is also how we can shape our future.

The app has been created by Sarah Mercer for Culture Vannin, and developed by Anthony at Scorch.im.
